About Ongkrong Consulting
Ongkrong Consulting is an Australian consulting practice that identifies coordination gaps in operations-heavy, multi-site organisations and builds AI-enabled operating controls that staff can maintain. It was founded in 2024 by Motta Thong and is based in Melbourne, Victoria, serving organisations across Australia. The problem we address: the coordination gap
A coordination gap is the point where work has to move between people, sites or systems and relies on manual effort to hold it together. In operations-heavy organisations these gaps appear as repeated phone calls, manual hand-overs, re-keyed data, status chasing and knowledge that lives in one person's head. Live enterprise engagement: a pre-launch engagement
An enterprise client: a high-volume logistics operator
An enterprise client — a high-volume logistics operator — was running a manual calling operation by hand, averaging about 230,000 calls a day at 15–30 seconds each. We built and put into production an AI voice-notification system to run it. Live, the system reduced call-handling headcount by about 1,200 roles and let the operator redeploy about 300 staff into supervisory and quality roles with upskilling. The engagement covered the financial model, telecom vendor economics, integration design, the production command centre, and a security and go-live readiness review.
